University students can expect to receive coursework assignments such as Management essays, Nursing essays, Philosophy essays, English essays, Religion essays, Business essays, Physics essays, Mathematics essays and other types of essays. Management essays are part of the requirements for acquiring a Management, Business or Accounting degree. Many students taking up this degree programmes do not have good writing skills as they are most often proficient in analysing numbers, figures and statistics. Hence, it is not uncommon for such students to dread writing a Management essay. Below are some useful tips for writing a Management essay:

· When defining and constructing an argument. Many management essays will involve discussion of the different applications of management theories. This will have the student examine all theories, processes and concepts that he or she has learned from class lectures and assignments throughout the course of the term. The topics of Management essays may involve the following: leadership, marketing, communication, teamwork, motivation, information technology and others. The student may be asked to make a case study on an organisation or analyse any managerial issues. If the professor has already chosen the topic, the major task left for the student to do is formulate the thesis statement of his or her Management essay. In doing this, the student should make sure to write a thesis statement that is narrow and specific considering that Management as a subject is too broad and encompasses many areas of operation and business.
· Doing research on the subject. The next step involves looking for pieces of evidence that will support your thesis statement. This includes the use of secondary and primary research data. Primary data consists of information collected through interviews or questionnaires while secondary data will consist of information gathered from textbooks, academic and business journals containing a wide array of management case studies. Some professors do not allow Internet sources to be used as secondary sources because many of the information contained online are either unreliable or biased.
· Create an outline that will serve as a roadmap for your Management essay. While this is not an absolute requirement, it will be very helpful in the essay writing process because it will save you time and make your work organised in a logical and coherent manner. The standard essay has three major parts: the introduction, body and conclusion. There are sub-points corresponding to each of these that the writer will need to focus on.
