It is no longer news that the PSP gaming console is the brain child of Sony Incorporated. One can't forget the huge amount of compliments they got from gamers when they released the PlayStation series of gaming consoles. Though the PS2 has been around for some time now, the PSP gaming console is known to be equal or a little bit higher than the former in terms of attributes and functionality.

Talking about beauty and physical attraction, the PSP is such a wonder to behold and use. It boasts of a wide-screen display, and the positioning of its joystick is quite different from that of the Xbox or PlayStation. This notwithstanding, it continues to keep its multi directional features.

Also, the PSP is good for communication purposes. The UMD, which is otherwise called Universal Media Disc are responsible for storing the PSP games and authorized movies. Furthermore, through your PSP, you can easily access all the data you transferred from your computer to your memory stick.

Due to an increase in the amount of unofficial games that gamers are able to play on their PSP, Sony decided to come out with an upgraded version which is called 3.50. Though most people don't like this version, it is however an improvement on the previous versions. The question most gamers are asking is; how do I downgrade my PSP's firmware from 3.50 to 1.50?

From the producer's point of view, it is impossible to do this. Their aim of releasing version 3.50 is to actually stop gamers from downloading and playing unofficial games on their PSP. Some people are content with this, but many still want a downgrade. For this reason, a good number of sites out there now provide help on how to downgrade your PSP.

Though some of them are quacks and it is not advisable to allow them touch your PSP, a good portion of them can actually get the job done effectively. If you are however not confident with this, the best bet is to stick to the official products of Sony for your PSP.
