Create a DVD slideshow

You could also use the Windows DVD Maker to customize the DVD menu with the use of the very professional and built-in styles. So in case you have some photos and you own a Windows Vista, then it's time to create some really cool DVD slideshow you could share or watch on TV.

Begin by going to Start, and then to All Programs. Click the Windows DVD Maker option or just type it in the search box.

On the Top left, you are able to see the option “add pictures or videos� to DVD. Go on to click Add Items.

Surf to the location of the image file, select all the photos you want and press Add. You should be seeing a list of files and you can continue to add more photos if desired

Continue by clicking the Next button. Here you will be able to select the style of the DVD menu. You can also customize the menu, the menu text and also preview the DVD menu.

Once you finish adjusting your settings, go on and click Burn! It is really that simple! The DVD will burn and you will have your own homemade slideshow on DVD.

Windows DVD Maker automatically encodes the movie on DVD in the correct format and then burns it. The encoding takes much longer than the burning process so you should wait a while, depending on the speed of your computer.

This is a nice free method to create your DVD video or photos without having to buy Roxio, Nero or any other DVD burning software. Have fun!

Oh, lest I forget, you can add music to your slideshow. There are key tools on the left side. You are asked to browse your music ("Rip" songs from a CD to the multimedia player, which will then be stored in your music directory and could be used for this slideshow). You can add as many songs as you want to.
